18. Doing SPAM/SAINT Import ? Seeking Older version files ?

Most of the basis peoples confusions?

Here's the quick tick.

⭐To update latest version of SPAM/SAINT, Unlike other software SP updates, Older version files  are not required. Only latest version SP file is sufficient.

Assume it's as same as updating latest patch levels of Java Sofware Component SP.

Example 1:

Servercore - 7.5 SP23 PL1 to PL6 planned - We will download/place only PL6 latest file. Even, In Maintenance planner only latest file will be downloaded.

Same scenario applies for updating SPAM/SAINT as well.

Example 2:

From:

SAPKD75885
SPAM/SAINT Update - Version 758/0085

To:

SAPKD75894
SPAM/SAINT Update - Version 758/0094

Download only 758 SP94 version. It's sufficient. No need to download/upload intermediatory packages.

SPAM -> Support Package ->  Import SPAM/SAINT Update will do the needful.

1 SPAM/SAINT version for 1 product version (Basis). Ensure to download correct file during update.
